Tom dreams of chasing Jerry in medieval times.
Jerry tries to keep Tom from catching a gopher in the garden.
Tom is temporarily saddened by the thought Jerry has been lost in a sewer; the little mouse not only pretends to return as a ghost but gets revenge by luring Tom into big trouble.
Jerry moves to comfortable, quiet quarters at the City Library, only to discover Tom has been given the job of returning books to their shelves; the little mouse immediately plots a noise-making campaign in an effort to have Tom removed.
